When it comes to printing stickers, one thing people often forget is the space between their design elements and the edge of the sticker. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your text or important imagery is too close to the edge, it can make it tricky to create a proper cut line\u2014and nobody wants their design accidentally snipped!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why It’s Important to Leave Space<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If everything is too close to the edge, we might have to add a white border<\/strong> around your sticker to make sure nothing important gets cut off. While that white border can look great on some designs, it might not be what you\u2019re after. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019d prefer not to have a white border, you\u2019ll need to make sure there\u2019s enough extra room around your design<\/strong>. This lets our design team place the cut line inside the design without cutting off any text or images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is especially important for designs that aren\u2019t simple shapes with flat colours around the edge, like an illustration or photograph. A little planning here can make all the difference in how clean and professional your stickers look!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Much Space Should I Leave?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s a simple rule of thumb to keep in mind:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Leave at least 3mm<\/strong> of space between your text and the edge of the sticker. This acts like a buffer to keep everything important from being trimmed off.<\/li>
  2. Add another 3mm<\/strong> from the edge of where you want the cut line to be. This gives our cutting machines some flexibility. Machines can move a tiny bit during the cutting process, so this extra border makes sure nothing goes wrong.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    What If My Design Doesn\u2019t Have Enough Space?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    If your design is already done and there isn\u2019t enough room around the edges, don\u2019t worry! We can add a white border for you to ensure everything stays intact. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    But if you\u2019d rather not have a border, it\u2019s best to go back and adjust your design to include that extra space. This gives our team the room they need to get those cut lines perfect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
